The holidays are upon us! Cornbread dressing, yams, pumpkin pie and shopping! Most probably a good bit of shopping!
Some of us are crazy deal fanatics who camp up on Turkey Day just to push and shove for those extra dollars off that stacked thin washer and dryer (well most of us don’t have this on our list but it’s definitely on mine!). Some of us are the shopper that stop at Pier 1 on Christmas Eve to purchase what’s still on the shelves for everyone on their list (my husband). And then we have those who maybe aren’t much of a shopper at all and instead look to DIY projects as gifts. Either way we all have to shop.. shop for the deals, for what’s left on the shelf or for the supplies to make those DIYs.
Regardless of which shopper you are you should join in on the American Express campaign Shop Small which encourages holiday shoppers to support their community by shopping local. To make this easier for you to join in on, I compiled a few things from small shops from cities I have lived in this year (Nashville, Brooklyn and Lafayette).
If you’re the shopper who shops online in your intimates then check them all out! They are all small businesses even though they may not be in your city. You’re still shopping small.
